FILLED COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter (1/2 butter, 1/2 Crisco)
2 eggs
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
6 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg

Roll out quite thin. Spread jam on bottom cookie. Top with cutout cookie. Seal edges. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
