STUFFED CABBAGE 
1 lg. head cabbage
1 lb. ground beef
3 med. onions, chopped
3 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. uncooked rice
1 egg
1 1/2 lbs. canned tomatoes
4 tbsp. lemon juice
3 tbsp. brown sugar
6 ginger snaps

Boil cabbage head for 5-10 minutes. Drain well. Separate leaves and cool. Combine beef, 1 onion chopped, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, pepper, rice and egg. Don't overwork. Roll a heaping tablespoon of meat into each leaf and fold into a bundle. Place these bundles into a large pot with the tomatoes, remaining salt and chopped onion. Cook over a low simmer for 1 hour. Then add the lemon juice, sugar and ginger snaps. Cook for another 30 minutes.
