PUMPKIN PATCH SPICE CAKE 
1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. applesauce
1 1/2 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. quick oatmeal, uncooked
1/2 c. milk

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg, then applesauce. Sift together flour, cinnamon, soda, salt and nutmeg. Combine with oats. Alternately blend dry ingredients and milk into creamed mixture. Bake in bundt pan or muffin pans. Bake in preheated oven 20 to 22 minutes or longer for larger pan. Frost with Peanutty frosting and decorate like pumpkins with licorice and candy corn.

PEANUTTY FROSTING:

1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
4 tbsp. milk
3 c. sifted powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla

In a small mixing bowl, blend together peanut butter, powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Add more milk if necessary.
