2/3 c. cooking oil
3/4 c. unsweetened cocoa
1/4 c. cooking oil
2 eggs, unbeaten
2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. cold water
1 c. chocolate bits
1 c. nuts, chopped

Combine all ingredients in order given, except chocolate bits and nuts. Beat together thoroughly. Pour into ungreased 9 x 12 inch or 11 x 17 inch pan. Sprinkle chocolate bits over batter, then crushed nuts. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees (325 degrees for glass pan). Cool in pan and cut into squares. It might take longer than 30 minutes. Cook until toothpick inserted comes out clean, about 15 to 20 minutes longer.
