1 German chocolate cake mix
1 can Eagle condensed milk
6 oz. chocolate chips
Walnuts, optional
1 stick butter
14 oz. caramels

Melt caramels with 1/3 cup of milk; melt butter. Mix cake mix, milk and melted butter. Put 1/2 mixture in bottom of pan, press down. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Cool completely. Pour caramel over this, then chocolate chips, then nuts and rest of mixture over top. Bake 20 minutes. Cut in squares.
