1 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix the above in order, push through a cookie press or drop by teaspoonfuls on a cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes, cool. Remove from cookie sheet to a rack.
