CREME DE MENTHE BROWNIES | |
FIRST LAYER: 1/2 c. butter 1 c. sugar 4 eggs, beaten 1 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 (16 oz.) can chocolate syrup 1 tsp. vanilla MIDDLE LAYER: 2 c. sifted powdered sugar 1/2 c. butter 2 tbsp. green creme de menthe GLAZE: 1 c. chocolate chips 6 tbsp. butter First Layer: Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs and other ingredients in order given. Blend well. Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool. Middle Layer: Combine powdered sugar, butter and green creme de menthe. Spread over cooled brownies. Chill. Glaze: Melt chocolate chips with butter in a saucepan or microwave. Let mixture cool until it will spread easily. Spread over brownies. Chill and cut into squares. Freezes well. |
