TEXAS SHEET CAKE 
CAKE:

2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 slightly beaten eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk (or add 1 tsp. vinegar to scant 1/2 c. milk)
1 tsp. baking soda
2 sticks melted butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. hot water

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
6 tbsp. Carnation milk
1 box confectioners' sugar
4 tbsp. cocoa

Cake: Melt butter and cocoa with water in a pan. Pour into a mixing bowl already containing flour and sugar. Beat. Add eggs and buttermilk (or buttermilk substitute) and soda. Mix thoroughly. Bake in greased and floured jelly roll pan at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

Frosting: While cake is baking, melt 1 stick butter with 6 tbsp. Carnation milk. Add 1 box confectioners' sugar and 4 tbsp. cocoa. Stir until smooth and creamy. Pour onto hot cake and spread.

Entire dessert is ready to serve in about 25 minutes from start to finish.
