BAKED OKRA, RICE, AND TOMATOES 
1 qt. young okra
1/4 c. rice, washed
1 qt. cooked tomatoes
1 1/2 tsp. salt
Pepper
Curry (if desired)
Butter

Wash the okra thoroughly; remove the stem ends and cut into thin slice.s Sprinkle about 1 tablespoon of the rice in a greased baking dish; cover with a layer of the okra and then with a thin layer of the tomatoes, and repeat. Season each layer with salt and pepper and dot with butter. Cover and bake in a very moderate oven (325 degrees) until the rice is tender. Remove the cover to allow slightly browning.
