LOW - SODIUM, LOW - CHOLESTEROL TOMATO SAUCE | |
1 tbsp. flour 1 tbsp. unsalted butter 1 sm. bay leaf 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. unsalted tomato juice 1/8 tsp. lemon concentrate Combine bay leaves, lemon, and tomato juice. Heat to boiling; remove bay leaves. Melt butter and blend in flour and pepper. Add tomato mixture to flour and butter; stir until sauce thickens. Yield: 5 servings. |
