4 baking potatoes, peeled or unpeeled
Melted butter
Salt and pepper

Bake at 400 degrees for 1 hour. Cut each potato into slices 1/8 inch thick down through 2/3 of each potato so they look like fans. Place in shallow pan and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pour melted butter over potatoes. Bake in quick oven (400 degrees) until tender, basting once or twice with additional butter. Turn over potatoes to bake for another 15 minutes.
