MAMA'S RESTAURANT CHOCOLATE
CHOCOLATE CAKE
 
2 c. all purpose flour
2 c. granulated sugar
2 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

ICING:

1/2 stick butter
2 tbsp. cocoa
3 tbsp. milk
1/2 box powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Mix together flour, and sugar in large mixing bowl. Set aside. Put butter, cocoa, and water in saucepan; bring to boil. Pour cocoa mixture over flour and sugar; mix until well blended. Add butter, milk, eggs, baking soda, cinnamon and vanilla. Mix well.

Pour into greased and floured 11 x 13 inch pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes. As soon as cake is removed from oven, spread icing on top.

Icing: Put butter, cocoa, and milk in saucepan; heat over low temperature until butter melts. Remove from heat; add remaining ingredients. Mix until well blended. Spread on cake while hot.
