SOFT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
Cream together:

1 c. Crisco
3/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 eggs

In separate bowl combine:

2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt

Add dry ingredients to wet ones and add 1 tablespoon hot water. Blend in 1 large package chocolate chips.

Drop onto cookie sheet about 1 inch apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until they start to brown. Cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes. Store in plastic container.
