CHINESE PEPPER STEAK 
1 1/2 lb. sirloin or round steak
2 green peppers, sliced
1 lg. onion, sliced
1/4 c. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 can beef bouillon
1 can water chestnuts
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 clove garlic, minced
Dash salt
1 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 - 1 c. water
4 green onions, cut in pieces

Freeze steak 1 hour. Cut steak into 1 1/2" strips. Heat oil in skillet; add garlic, salt, ginger, sugar and pepper. Saute until garlic is golden. Add steak and brown lightly. Remove meat. Add green peppers and onions. Cook 3 to 5 minutes. Return beef to pan and add soy sauce, bouillon, water chestnuts, cornstarch dissolved in water and green onions. Simmer. Serve over rice.
