HURRY-UP BAKED BEANS FOR A BUNCH
1/2 lb. bacon or ham
4 onions, cut into rings
1 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. molasses
2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 c. vinegar
Garlic salt-powder to taste
1 (14 oz.) can kidney beans
1 (14 oz.) garbanzo beans (chick peas)
2 (14 oz.) cans pork and beans
1 (14 oz.) can cut green beans
1 (14 oz.) can cut yellow beans

Cut up bacon or ham and brown in frying pan. Remove meat with slotted spoon and add onion rings to the fat remaining - cook until soft (add oil if meat did not produce enough fat). Remove onions and set aside with meat.

To the fat remaining add brown sugar, molasses, mustard, vinegar and garlic salt - stir and simmer for 20 minutes. Place beans, meat and onions in large bean pot or casserole dish and stir. Pour sauce over ingredients - mix well - cover and bake at 350 degrees F for at least 1 hour.

Note: I tend to use 19 ounce cans in order to provide more bulk for those who wish a second-third etc., helping.
