SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter (soft)
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 c. sour cream
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. baking soda

Sift flour and measure; resift with soda and set aside. Cream butter; add sugar, beating well. Add in eggs one at a time. Stir in sour cream. Add in flour mixture, beating well. Stir in vanilla extract. Put into a well-greased 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Turn onto a rack; cool completely.
