3 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cream of tartar 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. butter, cut in thin slices, chilled 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla Stir flour, soda, and tartar. Cut butter into sugar until coarse. Using wooden spoon, beat in eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Knead by HAND 15 minutes using only enough flour to prevent sticking. Roll out dough; cut into shapes. Bake at 350 degrees 12-15 minutes. Cool; frost. |
