OATMEAL COOKIES 
2 c. raw oats
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
1 c. raisins
1 c. pecans
1 c. coconut (optional)
1 tsp. baking soda, mixed in flour

Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs, vanilla and flour along with remaining ingredients. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on lightly greased or sprayed baking sheet. Flatten with bottom of glass.

Bake at 375°F but watch closely. These cookies burn easily.
