APPLE KUGEL 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. med. noodles
1/4 c. melted butter or oil
4 eggs, beaten
3 med. apples
1/4 c. dark raisins (optional)
1/4 c. sugar (optional)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cook and drain noodles. Put in large bowl. Stir in butter and eggs. Peel and chop apples. Rinse raisins and drain. Combine all ingredients; mix well.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 40 minutes to 1 hour or until lightly browned. 12 pieces. For extra softness, add 2 eggs.

Variation: Pineapple - replace apples and raisins with 1 (16 ounce) crushed pineapple. Add additional 1/2-3/4 cup sugar.
