FLUFFY BISCUITS 
5 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
2 c. buttermilk
1 stick butter, melted

Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt. Cut in shortening. Add buttermilk to flour mixture. Mix well. Turn out on floured board. Pat to desired thickness. Cut biscuits, dip each in melted butter and place in greased pan. Bake at 450 degrees for 12 minutes.
