DUTCH APPLE CAKE | |
3 c. unsifted flour 2 c. sugar 1 c. mayonnaise 1/3 c. milk 2 eggs 3 c. chopped apples 1 c. raisins 1/2 c. chopped nuts 2 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/4 tsp. cloves 1/2 tsp. salt Sift the dry ingredients into a bowl. Add the sugar, mayonnaise, milk and 2 eggs. Beat all these ingredients together. Stir in apples, raisins and nuts. Pour the batter into 2 (9") layers or loaf pan which have been greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. May be frosted with cream cheese frosting or whatever you desire. |
