APPLE CRISP 
1 apple per person, sliced (for 6-12 people)
1/3 c. water
1 c. rolled oats
1/2 c. whole wheat or rye flour
1/2 c. wheat germ
1/2 c. butter, butter or oil
1/2 c. brown sugar or honey
2 tsp. cinnamon

Put sliced apples in buttered 9"x13" pan. Sprinkle with water. Combine the rest of the ingredients. Sprinkle evenly over the apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes, or until apples are soft and crisp is bubbly and brown. Serve warm or cold. Especially good warm with vanilla ice cream as a topping.
