OATMEAL APPLE CRISP 
5 c. tart apples, peeled and sliced
2/3 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. unsifted all purpose flour
1 c. quick uncooked oats
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or almonds

Sprinkle sugar over apples. Cut remaining ingredients together for topping.

Sprinkle topping over apples and bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until apples are tender. Serve warm, top with ice cream.
