BUTTER BISCUITS 
5 tbsp. butter (cold)
2 1/2 c. Bisquick
2/3 c. milk
butter, melted for brushing

Cut cold butter into 1/4 inch cubes, toss Bisquick and butter cubes with fork until coated. Add milk and stir just until milk is absorbed. (Do not over stir.)

Turn dough into cloth covered board generously dusted with Bisquick, roll dough to coat. Fold and knead dough 5 times. Pat lightly to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with floured 3 inch cutter.

Place on ungreased cookie sheet with sides touching using 2 biscuits for 1 by laying one on top of the other. (Roll out 16 thin biscuits to make 8). Bake at 450 degrees until golden brown watching bottoms carefully not to burn. Bake about 15 minutes. Brush with melted butter. Makes 8 biscuits.
