KRIS KRINGLE 
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet pieces
1/3 c. peanut butter
1/3 c. double strength coffee
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
3 c. crumbled soda crackers

Heat chocolate, peanut butter, coffee, sugar, shortening and salt in double boiler until smooth. Cool. Add vanilla, egg, and crackers. Mix well. Chill. Form into rolls. Chill overnight before slicing.

Do not bake.

So tasty! This has been a Christmas tradition since my Great Grandmother at least and my favorite Christmas treat. I Always get compliments and requests for more. Fair warning if you make it and bring it people will ask you to make it again and again.
