ORIENTAL CHICKEN WINGS 
3 lbs. chicken wings
3/4 c. soy sauce
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. peanut oil
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. five spice powder
1 tsp. ginger, ground
1/2 c. sherry wine

Five spice power is a spicy Chinese seasoning consisting of cloves, fennel, anise, cinnamon, and Sichuan peppercorns or licorice root.

Arrange chicken wings in a shallow baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients in a small saucepan and heat and stir until sugar has dissolved. Cool. Pour sauce over chicken wings and marinate for at least 4 hours.

Bake in an oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Turn and baste wings occasionally while baking. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot or cold with celery sticks or cauliflower florets. Serves: 4. (Prep and Cooking Time: 1 hour)
