THIMBLE COOKIES 
1 lb. butter
1 c. brown sugar, packed
4 eggs, separated
4-5 c. cake flour
1 c. chopped nuts
1 jar jelly

Cream butter, add sugar and egg yolks. Then add cake flour. Dough will be quite stiff. Make into balls the size of walnuts. Beat egg whites until they form soft peaks (not too stiff). Dip balls of dough into egg whites then into chopped nuts. Put on cookie sheets. Make hole in center with thimble. Bake about 5 minutes at 350 degrees then press holes again and bake about 10 minutes more. Fill holes with jelly after done.
