SOFT PRETZELS 
1 env. dry yeast
1 1/3 c. warm water
4 1/2 to 5 c. flour
5 tbsp. baking soda
5 c. water

Mix and knead to get flour worked in. Take a piece of dough the size of a lemon; roll between hands until about 12 inches long. Shape into a pretzel.

Heat soda and water to boiling. Dip in and out. Put on cookie sheet and freeze. Salt before baking. Bake middle shelf 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
