BUTTERMILK CAKE 
2 c. butter
1 c. water
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
3 tbsp. cocoa
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Put butter in saucepan. Add cocoa and water. Heat until butter is melted and liquid starts to boil. In the meantime, put flour, sugar and salt into a big bowl. Pour hot liquid into sugar and flour mixture, use mixer to beat until smooth. Then add eggs, buttermilk, soda and vanilla. Pour into 9x13 inch greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 cube butter
5 tbsp. buttermilk
1/2 c. chopped nuts
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

When cake has been in the oven 25 minutes put butter, cocoa and buttermilk in saucepan. Cook over low heat until butter is melted completely and all is mixed. Remove from heat. Cool a bit and add a box of powdered sugar, a little at a time. Stir until right consistency to spread. Add nuts and vanilla, spread on cake as soon as it comes out of the oven.
