AUNT MIL'S PRIZE GINGER COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. granulated sugar
2 c. flour
1 egg
1/4 c. Brer Rabbit molasses (gold label)
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and chill for two hours or longer. Shape into walnut sized balls and roll in additional granulated sugar (not the cup that goes into the cookies). Bake on a ungreased cookie sheet at 325 degrees for 12 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on the pan for two minutes before moving them to a cooling rack.
