OLD SALEM PUMPKIN MUFFINS 
1 2/3 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
1/3 c. golden raisins
1/3 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. canned pumpkin
1/3 c. water

Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt and spices; add raisins and coat. Cream butter, add sugar gradually and continue to cream. Beat in eggs. Add dry ingredients alternately with pumpkin and water. Stir to blend only until flour disappears. Fill greased and floured muffin tins 1/2 to 2/3 full. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 16 minutes or until muffins are done.
