BETTES PUMPKIN BREAD 
2 2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. shortening
4 eggs
2 c. pumpkin

Cream together

3 1/3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon

Sift together, add sifted ingredients to pumpkin mixture, then stir in 2/3 cup water, 2/3 cup nuts and 2/3 cup raisins.

Makes 10 soup cans of bread. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-60 minutes. Great for gifts and bake sales.
