SMOTHERED CABBAGE | |
5 c. finely chopped cabbage 5 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour 1 c. milk 2 tsp. salt (scant) 1/4 tsp. pepper Melt butter in heavy frying pan. Add flour and stir until well blended. Add milk gradually, stirring constantly. Bring to boiling point. Season and add cabbage. Mix thoroughly. Cover and cook over very slow heat for 50-60 minutes. |
