PARMESAN PEPPER BREAD
1 1/2 c. warm water (105-115 degrees)
2 pkg. yeast
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
3-4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. basil
4-5 c. flour

Measure water into large mixing bowl; sprinkle in yeast; stir to dissolve. Add rest of the ingredients. Using 4 cups flour, beat until mixture forms a ball and leaves the sides of the bowl (dough will be soft). Turn dough out onto floured surface. Work in just enough additional flour to make dough easy to handle. Knead about 5 minutes or until dough is smooth and elastic. Place dough in large greased bowl; turn over to bring greased side up; cover with damp cloth. Let rise in warm place 1 hour or until doubled. Punch dough down, knead a few minutes on lightly floured surface. Divide into 2 loaves; shape and place in two 9 x 5 inch loaf pans. Cover with cloth and let rise until doubled. Bake 30 minutes at 400 degrees.
