SWEET POTATO/BUTTERNUT SQUASH A

3 1/2 c. mashed, cooked squash/sweet potatoes
1/2 stick butter (can use up to 1 stick)
5 heaping tbsp. sugar
Juice of 1 lemon plus the rind, grated
1 tsp. mace
1/2 tsp. nutmeg (scant)
2 tbsp. sherry
2 tbsp. bourbon or brandy
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
