CHICKEN A LA KING 
2 tbsp. butter (I use Fleischmann's butter)
3 tbsp. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. half and half (I use skim milk, canned)
1/2 c. hot water
1 tsp. instant chicken bouillon
2 c. cut up chicken or turkey
1 can cut up mushroom stems & pieces, drained
2 tbsp. finely chopped pimiento

You can use puff pastry shells or muffins. To Serve: Place butter in bowl (medium). Microwave at High 30 seconds, blend in flour, salt, and pepper. Gradually stir in half and half, water and instant bouillon. Micro Medium High until thick, 4 to 6 minutes, stirring once. Stir in chicken, mushrooms and pimientos. Micro at Medium High 5 to 8 minutes, stirring once. Serve over muffins or pastry shells. Serves 4.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
