HOLIDAY NUT CRESCENTS 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. water
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. pecans
Confectioners sugar

Cream butter to soften. Cream butter, Crisco and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in water and vanilla. Blend in flour in diameter. Blend in nuts. Cut in 3 inch lengths and form in crescents. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 degrees for 15 minutes. Cookies should not be brown. Remove from cookie sheet and cool slightly. Dip in confectioners sugar. Makes 4 dozen.
