THE BEST PECAN PIE 
1 stick butter
1 c. lt. Karo
1 c. sugar
3 lg. eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash salt
1 c. chopped pecans
9 inch unbaked pie shell

Brown butter in saucepan until it is golden brown; do not let it burn. Let cool. In a separate bowl, combine Karo, sugar, beaten eggs, lemon juice, vanilla, salt, chopped pecans. Stir. blend in browned butter. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes; lower temperature to 325 degrees and cook for 40 additional minutes.
