JOHN'S SOUTHERN CHARBOILED QUAIL 
6 plump dressed quail
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. butter
1 (12 oz.) can beer
6 strips of bacon

Wrap quail in bacon strips and hold together with 1/2 toothpick. Place quail in aluminum pan.

In saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 12 oz. can of beer. Add butter and stir until melts. Salt and pepper to taste.

Pour mixture across quail and place pan on grill. Keep quail damp by spooning sauce across top of each. Cook until pink in center.
