5 tbsp. butter 1/2 c. cottage cheese 1 egg, beaten 3/4 tsp. prepared mustard 1 tsp. Accent 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp. Kitchen Bouquet sauce 1 tbsp. soy sauce 1 lb. lean ground beef Bacon strips, optional Melt 3 tablespoons of the butter in a skillet. In a mixing bowl, mash cottage cheese with a fork. Add egg, mustard, Accent, pepper, sauces and melted butter; beat with electric mixer or thoroughly mix with a fork. Add ground beef and mix thoroughly. Make 4 burgers using a 1/2 cup measure; shape gently until desired form is made. Melt remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to skillet and broil burgers slowly in it. Note: Burgers may be wrapped in bacon as for filet mignon, if desired. Makes 4 servings. |
