1 lg. box lemon or cherry Jello 2 c. boiling water 2 c. 7-Up or ginger ale (if using cherry Jello, use cherry pop) 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple 2 c. miniature marshmallows 2 lg. bananas, sliced 1/2 c. sugar 2 tbsp. flour 1 c. pineapple juice 1 egg, beaten 2 tbsp. butter 1 (4 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 2 pkgs. Dream Whip 1/2 c. nuts 1/2 c. coconut Dissolve Jello in 2 cups boiling water. Add the 2 cups of 7-Up (ginger ale) and pour in 9"x13" glass mold. Chill until syrupy (as corn syrup). Now add the pineapple, bananas and marshmallows. Chill until firm. Now combine sugar, flour, egg and pineapple juice in saucepan, cook on low heat until thick. Remove from heat and add butter; let cool. Stir in the cream cheese and chill. Whip the Dream Whip until stiff. Fold this mixture into cooked mixture. Chill. Spread evenly over the Jello mixture. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and coconut. Chill until ready to serve. Cut into squares and put on lettuce leaves. 15 to 16 servings. |
