1 egg
1/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. sour milk
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/4 c. boiling water (add last)

Bake in 2 layers.

FILLING:

2 dessert spoons cornstarch
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. boiling water

Boil until thick. Spread between and on top[ of layers while hot.
