RASPBERRY BARS 
1 c. flour
1 egg
1/2 c. butter (or 1/2 butter & 1/2 butter)
1 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt

Mix as for pastry. Press into greased 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 inch pan. Spread with raspberry jam.

On top spread the following mixture: 1 c. sugar 1/4 c. butter 1 tsp. vanilla 2 c. coconut

Bake in a moderate oven (325 degrees) until lightly browned (approximately 25 minutes). Cut into bars or small squares.
