FUNNEL CAKES 
1 c. flour
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1 egg
Salad oil
Powdered sugar

In 12 inch skillet, over medium heat, heat about 3/4 inch of oil to 370 degrees. Meanwhile, in bowl, mix flour, milk, baking powder, salt and egg. Holding a funnel, close spout with finger; pour 1/4 cup batter into funnel.

Over hot oil remove finger and let batter run into stream, while making spiral about 6 inches in diameter. Fry 6-8 minutes until golden brown, turning once with tongs. Drain on paper towel. Sprinkle powdered sugar over cake.
