LIVER AND GRAVY | |
1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 lb. thinly sliced beef liver 2 tbsp. bacon drippings 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 med. onions, chopped 3 tbsp. bacon drippings 1 tbsp. all-purpose flour 1 1/2 c. water 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. whole basil 1/2 tsp. whole thyme 1/4 tsp. pepper Combine flour, salt and pepper. Coat liver in seasoned flour mixture and brown in 2 tablespoons bacon drippings. Remove liver and place in a shallow 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle with garlic. |
