MACARONI MOUSSE 
1 1/2 c. milk, heated
1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
4 tbsp. butter
1 finely chopped pimento
1 tbsp. minced parsley
1 tsp. onion juice
1 tsp. salt
1 c. shredded American cheese
3 egg yolks, beaten
1 (8 oz.) pkg. macaroni, cooked al dente, drain
3 egg whites, stiffly beaten

Pour hot milk over crumbs and butter. Let butter melt. Combine with all remaining ingredients except egg whites. Fold whites in last. Pour into heavily buttered 9x5 inch loaf pan. Set in pan of water. Cover macaroni with foil and bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove foil and bake 40 minutes longer. Unmold and serve hot, plain or with heated mushroom soup.
