CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
2 c. cake flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Mix butter, cream cheese, sugar and vanilla thoroughly. Add eggs, one at a time; mix well. Gradually add flour sifted with baking powder. Pour into a waxed lined 9x5 loaf (tube) pan. Bake at 325 degrees 1 hour and 10 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes. Turn out to cool. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.

(Can also be used as a pineapple upside down cake. Melt butter and brown sugar in pan. Add crushed pineapple (drained). Pour batter over butter, pineapple and brown sugar. Bake as above. Turn over as soon as taken out of oven.)
