"NO-NUTS" DATE BARS 
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. flour

Beat together butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add alternately the dates and flour. Spread in greased and floured, 11x7 inch (double for 13x9 inch pan). Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees for small pan (30 minutes for large pan). Cool in pan, cut into bars. Optional - roll in powdered sugar. Keep in airtight container.
