CHOCOLATE ANGEL STRATA 
1 c. flour
1/3 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
3-4 tbsp. water

Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Beat, then add: 1/4 tsp. salt

Then add 1/2 cup sugar gradually; beat until stiff and glossy. Spread on bottom and sides of baked pie shell. Bake at 325 degrees for 15-18 minutes. Cool.

CHOCOLATE - WHIPPED CREAM FILLING:

1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted

Add 2 slightly beaten egg yolks and 1/2 cup water. Spread 3-4 tablespoons over cooled meringue. Chill remainder. Combine 1/4 cup sugar and 1 cup whipping cream. Beat until thick and spread 1/2 over chocolate in pie.

Combine remaining whipped cream with the remaining chocolate mixture. Spread over whipped cream in pie shell. Chill at least 4 hours.
