PECAN BRITTLES 
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs, well beaten
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. corn flakes, crushed
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream sugars and shortening, add eggs and beat until smooth. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt and add remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoonsful on well greased and floured cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 11 to 12 minutes until golden. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
